Young children learn about athletics

Athletics Fiji President Tevita Buwawa said several aspiring athletes from the Fiji National University had put together programmes that would be enjoyable for young children.

"The main aim is to get our young children to know what athletics is about," he said.

Children were taught basic athletic events through colourful obstacles and an ever friendly and smiling young men and women who were helping out with Athletics Fiji.

Mr Buwawa said there was no cost and that parents were encouraged to bring their children over for the fun activities that they had planned.
