The Public Service Commission will need an extra $2.5 million to complete an audit of all government ministries, says chairman Josefa Serulagilagi.

Mr Serulagilagi's statement came during the second meeting of the National People's Charter Advisory Council held in Suva earlier this week.

He said while the PSC already has $300,000 budgeted for this cause, it is not enough as the process still has a long way to go.

Mr Serulagilagi added that auditing all government ministries was a challenge.

The PSC, which is the central personnel authority for Fiji's Public Service, has yet to formally request the government to top up the current allocation.
