Junior Badminton coaching

Roughly 30 Junior players showed up at the two sessions organized by Coaches Shivneil Chand, Norman Bentley and Lorraine Mar.

The Junior Badminton Programme focuses on weekly coaching clinics organized according to playing levels of the players with younger players taken from 9 - 10 am by Norman Bentley and Lorraine Mar and developing junior squad players coached by Shivneil Chand.

Both Mr Bentley and Mr Chand, themselves previously junior players, are now on the National Team expected to participate at the Oceania Championships being held in Invercargill, New Zealand in February.

Mr Bentley, recently returned as a FASANOC representative at a Friendship Youth Camp held in Singapore, will playing in his first regional badminton competition when he competes in the Oceania U19 Championships.

Junior players will be looking forward to their first tournament which is being planned for February.
